Principles to follow when selecting loading arm for loading and unloading

 

 

1. When handling liquefied petroleum gas or liquefied gas materials, sealed loading arm must be used.
2. For materials that have a saturated vapor pressure close to or exceeding 0.1 MPa (absolute pressure) under normal temperature storage and loading conditions, sealed loading arm must be used.
3. When dealing with materials that are volatile liquids, flammable, explosive, environmentally hazardous, or harmful to human health under normal temperature storage and loading conditions, sealed loading arm must be used.
4. For materials that are volatile liquids, and if the volatile gases have some recycling value, sealed loading arm must be used.
5. When unloading tankers or tankers using gas pressurization or vacuum extraction, sealed loading arm must be used.
6. To handle corrosive materials and prevent material splashing or ensure personal safety, sealed loading arm should be used.
7. For the loading and unloading of low-volatile and non-hazardous general liquid materials, open loading arm can be used.
8. For low-volatile liquid materials during loading, a short spout can be used, such as a 90° horizontal outlet or a 45° angled outlet.
